Stéphane Charpentier engages an introspective photographic language to build long-term analog series.
His images aim to heighten emotion in order to stimulate the spectators’ receptivity and reactions
to moments suspended between an endless vision of humanity’s struggles and hopes.
He selects very few images from his whole production and makes himself silver prints in the darkroom.
He also creates short artistic films, installations and some music videos. He collaborates with various
musicians, took part to the creation of Oiseaux-Tempête band, and for 5 years he has curated and promoted
the Temps Zero performances - collective projections & live improvised music - around Europe.
